The Rafters is a wedding and event venue that is surrounded by 40 acres of rolling hills in north central Kentucky. Our versatile venue can be used for weddings, engagement/anniversary parties, graduation parties, family reunions, corporate and community events, bridal/baby showers, meetings, and more. The Rafters provides a climate-controlled venue, manicured grounds, two serene ponds, and a ceremony site, which allows our guests to enjoy Kentucky’s beautiful landscapes, while being conveniently located near Louisville, Kentucky.
The Rafters is currently under construction, so it looks a little rough right now, but every day progress is being made and is on schedule to hold its first weddings and events starting in December 2025. We are giving tours and would love for you to be part of our very special opening year by booking your wedding or event with us today.
ABOUT
I had a dream of building a wedding and event venue in my husband’s beloved home state of Kentucky. After searching for over a year and a half, I found 40 acres of land that I knew would be the perfect canvas for my dream bespoke venue, which I had already affectionately named The Rafters. Along with my husband, Frank, we settled onto the property in late 2023 and began the arduous work of transforming the overgrown acreage into a picturesque landscape.
When designing the venue, I wanted it to be timeless, inviting, and comfortable for my guests. It was important that the venue be climate-controlled so that no matter what the weather Kentucky had to offer, my guests could celebrate all year round and in comfort. I also wanted my guests to be able to enjoy the land that surrounded the venue, which meant restoring and expanding the pond, constructing a charming ceremony site, and curating a courtyard.
Every decision and detail when building The Rafters has been made with my guests in mind to ensure that your time spent at the venue is truly special.

It's your special day, and the Rafters welcomes you to celebrate with us. The Rafters offers a brand new and breathtaking wedding venue that blends the charm of a Kentucky country wedding with modern elegance.

Private access to the venue on Friday from 1pm to 9pm and on Saturday from 8am to 11pm. Then Sunday 9am to 11am to collect decor and belongings.

EVENTS
We love a good wedding, but we also love a good event here at The Rafters. Whether you’re a business looking for a place to host offsite meetings, company functions, or daily retreats, or a family celebrating a special anniversary, birthday or reunion, The Rafters can be that place for you. We offer a large climate-controlled barn with a 2500 square foot celebration room that can accommodate up 173 people, along with ADA accessible restrooms, a warming kitchen, and ample parking. Your attendees can also enjoy our outside space under our large, covered patio, or by taking a stroll down by the ponds/waterfall. The Rafters is only two miles north of Interstate 71 and just 25 minutes from Louisville, Kentucky. For events, we offer weekday hourly rental pricing as well as weekend flat rate pricing.

AMENITIES

The Venue - Our venue is nearly 5000 sq ft, climate controlled, and ADA accessible. Within the venue is our celebration room, with 10 ft high walls and a nearly 26 ft high vaulted ceiling, with exposed trusses and tongue and groove boards on walls and ceiling. The celebration room can comfortably host 173 guests. There is a large warming kitchen perfect for caterers. A something borrowed room with decor that can be borrowed for you wedding. There are ADA accessible restrooms, a groom's suite, and a bridal suite complete with it's own restroom, exterior and interior entrances, and makeup stations.

Covered Patio - Attached to the south side of our venue is a large covered patio which can provide extra seating or the perfect spot for cocktail hour.

Ceremony Site - This curated space overlooks the property, two ponds, and a waterfall, and can comfortably seat your guests.

Parking Lots - Our two parking lots provide ample parking for your guests and vendors.
